::CHRISTMAS::

Brant loved his books he got from Santa!

This is Brant on Christmas Eve watching a video of himself on the blog...he thinks he is SO funny!
This is Brant pulling his new wagon with blocks from Nanny! He loved riding INSIDE it too!

These are Brant's new boots! I thought he would be more interested in them because he is always trying to put on Brandon's, but they weren't the hit!

If you look on the table you can see Brant's Jungle Extravaganza! He loves animals and picking them up and putting them in your face while he makes the noise. After he saw these he didn't really care about opening up anything else, but I made him open up the Nikes! TOO CUTE!
My mom and dad took more pictures that I hope will be sent to me soon! They have some really good ones. I hope all your families had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. We head to Macon on Saturday to celebrate Christmas with The Arnolds! Can't wait!

::All Boy::

So, I know I have said this before, but I HAVE to say it again...

MY CHILD IS ALL BOY!

On Friday at school he was running, as he does EVERYWHERE, through the classroom, and he fell and busted his lip. The front desk administrator came back to my room where I was changing diapers and looked at me and said, "He's alright...(pause)". Any conversation that has started this way has ended in Brant being hurt somehow. I just looked at her and said, "Blood?" She replied that there was some, but mostly just drool. Apparently when he fell he bit his lip and so it looked pretty bad. Today it looks worse, I think because the bruise is coming out, but needless to say I don't think I will ever have a picture that he does not have some bump, bruise, cut, or runny nose. I am just going to have to come to terms with this.

Today I got my new table and Brant's new dresser. I will post pictures of my table below. I love them both! After we got them I decided to clean the bathrooms. I did clean the rest of the house as well, but the bathrooms needed the most attention. As I was cleaning Brant's bath tub I had the water running, which can be pretty loud. I didn't hear him approaching quickly, and here is the result...

He jumped right in, clothes and all. Had a blast splashing and sliding while I RAN to get my camera. He thought it was the funniest thing ever...and so did I...until I thought that him swimming in my cleaner probably wasn't the best thing for him. So I snatched him out and let him run around naked until I was done....which he also thoroughly enjoyed!

So happy Saturday to you all. We are heading to my staff Christmas party tonight and off to church and lunch with friends tomorrow!

Happy Early Birthday to my sister-in-law Amelia Hardman and one of my best buddies Ayesha Nasmyth! I hope tomorrow is a special day for the both of you. I put this up in case I become absent minded and forget to call...I probably will due to that self-fulfilling prophecy that I learned about in educational psychology.

Here's the table...for those of you who care!

::Christmas and Money::

These are the two words that can sum up this weekend. I spent most of it with my wonderful mommy and we spent lots of money! It was all well spent and in my opinion needed...so you can't say that we were irresponsible!

I got my hall bathroom decorated and I must say it is beautiful...just right! Thanks mom!

Brandon and I also got our wedding present from my parents...etiquette does say you have a full year to get the couple a gift. We got a new kitchen table...thanks again!

Brant got his main Christmas present picked out from MiMi and we got all my Christmas decorations purchased and put up. Most of the decorations I already had but Mom helped me fix them and make them look like they should. Our tree is up and my mantle is decorated with stockings. I also have three trees on the front porch that Brant loves! I think our house is really beginning to look like a home! Thanks to all of you who are responsible...

Here is a quick pic of Brant in front of the tree. He loves it. I will put up more pictures of the rest as soon as I can!

::Happy Birthday::

I am the worst. Today was a very important person's 40th birthday and I blew it and forgot to call! Maybe this blog shout-out will make up for it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCOTT MACMATH!

I am not sure if you are an avid reader of this site, but I know your children are....so Maddie, Lanes, or Haydo...go get your dad and show him this!

I love you Scott! Thanks for all you have meant to me over the years! I know this isn't as cool as the banner I made you back in the day, but can it suffice?

::This Week::

Monday: School, MiMi's house to give her a birthday present, and home to bed.

Tuesday: MiMi's 55th Birthday! School and home

Wednesday: School and home.

Thursday: School and home

Friday: School, look at Christmas lights in neighborhood, and home.

Is there a pattern and routine in our lives or what? This week has been normal. Brandon was feeling under the weather at the beginning of the week but he seems to be over it now. Brant is feeling great and it is such a relief! I hope writing this on here doesn't jinx him! I have switched him to Soy milk due to what I have read up about mild milk allergies and I would like to think that is what has helped him get better...at least that's what I will believe! This weekend I am going to try to get the rest of my Christmas shopping done and a little decorating. Tomorrow we are going to put up the tree and the rest of our decorations, which are slim but maybe I can find somewhere on my shopping spree with MiMi tomorrow!

I can't believe it is December already...time flies when you get older!

Here is our week (or just one day this week) in some pictures!

Love you all!

This is a look I receive very frequently now!

He loves his cows!

Isn't he gorgeous?

::Thanksgiving::

After much critiscism from friends and family about my slack posting....I have decided to be a bit more diligent this holiday season. Starting on this past Saturday it has been family, family, and more family with my sister coming in town. I have tried to see her as much as I can being that she is my BESTEST friend and I never get to see her.

On Thursday we went down to Macon and spent Thanksgiving there with Brandon's family. We will be with mine on Christmas...my sister said this whole being the only kid at home thing was NOT fun for her! And I know the feeling, I missed her too. But, it was great to spend time with Brandon's family and see everyone. On Friday we hit the mall with all the Arnold women and Brandon found some great buys. So, being jealous, I spent all day today with my sister spending even more money. But most of mine was on Christmas presents for Brant and decorations for the house. I hate to spend the money but it makes me feel a little better knowing I won't have to spend it next year, its just the first year in your new home!

On Friday night my sis and I went to dinner with my high school buddies. I am so blessed to have these girls in my life STILL and always will! Congratulations to Traci, the newly engaged one! I miss all you girls so much and wish we all lived closer or it could be like high school and we could see each other everyday...but who knows...maybe we wouldn't cherish our time together like we do!

Here are some pics from this week. Nothing too special...I guess I will be venturing out soon to get the picture with Santa. Let's all hope Brant isn't afraid!

::I Love My Sissy!::

Here is a recent pic of me and La. I will post more pictures later of Brant's Thanksgiving luncheon today if I get any good ones! Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with their families. Cherish these times....they go TOO fast as I am beginning to truly realize!

I know its been a while...

Life is just busy...it seems like we need more time for everything, but if we had more time, we would just fill that up, so I guess I just need to deal with the cards I got!

This week has been relatively good. Brant got pink eye on Tuesday and we had to deal with that....but his ears are fine...after 8 weeks they are finally fine, so that is good news! His pink eye is great now, still doing the drops but he is feeling like himself. His head is healing nicely as well, he just looks like he is from India with his red dot in the middle of his forehead.

On Monday night Brandon got in a really bad wreck and totaled his truck. He is fine, but his truck is finished. We had been looking at getting me a new car next spring, but apparently before he got in the wreck he was on his way to check out a Chevy Equinox for me to surprise me with. Needless to say, he went and looked at the car on Tuesday being that we both need a car to get to work in opposite directions and at completely different times. So, on Tuesday when I was finished with work I came out in the parking lot with him, because he had to pick me up, and there was my new car. An '07 Chevy Equinox. SO EXCITED! It is beautiful. I will put up some pictures another time. But here are some recent pictures of Brant for you to enjoy! And yes I know, in the last picture of him coloring it became evident to me that he needs to get his first haircut!

Love you all!

::We Found NEMO::

Halloween was so fun! After a fun day at MiMi's and getting to see his MacMath friends, Brant headed back home to trick or treat with Mommy and Daddy. We went around to probably about 8 houses on our street. He was LOVING it. Not only did he love digging for the candy and knocking on the door, but he thought that you were supposed to go in and visit every house too! It was the funniest thing ever. He would get so mad when we made him turn around. After he was done with all of those and it was getting near bedtime we had to trick him to get him to come home. We swung him in the air and were running to make it fun, but he broke down in a fit when we closed the gate behind us. He did not want the night to end. The only way that we got him to stop crying was let him watch Nemo in his Nemo suit. So priceless.

Here are some pictures from the night. Oh, and he also won the "Cutest By FAR" award from one of the houses....YEA BRANT!

::What A Day!::

Today started off beautifully. We got to school on time, in a good mood, a cute new shirt, and blowing kisses to mommy as she left the room...all in all good start!

I went and clocked into my classroom and within about 15 minutes I heard my name from the door. I turned to see Stephanie, our front desk administrator, holding Brant with blood on his forehead. I of course was in a little shock and wanted to know what happened. Apparently, he tripped somehow and fell directly onto a door hinge. OUCH! Not many tears coming from my tough guy though, I will say that much.

As I was headed out the door to take him to Scottish Rite, a mom from his classroom was coming in and noticed his head. She is a nurse practitioner and asked if she could look at it. I told her sure, I would love the opinion. She thought they would not put in stitches, so she offered to go and get something to fix it and do it before she left. I was all about not having ANOTHER trip to the ER so soon, so I complied. He was bandaged up before I knew it and ready to get back to his friends.

The rest of the morning went by without a fuss, until about lunch time. I heard Stephanie's voice again and knew it couldn't be good. She said Brant was bleeding out of his band aid and asked me what I wanted to do. So I called his doctor and they told me I should take him somewhere to get it looked at if it is still bleeding. I found out a little after that that he actually hit it again, and thats probably what caused the re-bleed.

Here is a picture of him on our way to Scottish Rite.
After we got there we were seen pretty quickly and he had numbing paste on it before I knew it. Let me tell you how NOT easy it is to keep a 17 month old from tearing off the tape that is on his forehead for 30 minutes...NOT EASY! After that settled in we were on our way back to the room so he could get patched up. The doctor was very nice and Brant was blowing kisses and waving until they put him in the papoose (no idea how you spell that). He was SO tough though and was just ready to get home and go to sleep...he got 3 stitches!

Here is a pic of him before bed time when I was putting a new band aid on it.
Tomorrow he is going to see MiMi so we can try and control his actions a little more. Hopefully no more bumbs to the wounded site! So thats our day...but I have learned that I am going to have to watch him like a hawk because of his pain tolerance. He could break a leg and I would never know...

::The Weekend::

The weekend has come and gone and it feels like it was never here for the most part. It is Sunday afternoon, Brant is at my mom and dad's for the night because they haven't seen him in so long, and Brandon and I are getting ready to go out to eat.

Friday night was pretty quiet. Brant and I went over to April's to play with Porter while Brandon worked out at the gym. We went to bed fairly early only to rise early on Saturday. Saturday brought on Hadyn's 3rd Birthday party in Macon, so we headed down at 8am to get there on time. Brant had a blast and so did Hadyn, it looked like Christmas with all her presents!

After the party we went and watched the UGA/FLA game at Brandon's parents house. GO DAWGS! I can't believe we finally did it. It must have been Brant and I supporting UGA thru our sweatshirts on Friday. We drove back late on Saturday night only to realize how much we had to do today.

So - I am writing to you after laundry has started, oil in the cars has been changed, cars have been cleaned out, the house has been vacuumed, laundry folded, and I spent hours in different stores looking for some pants for me, only to walk out with clothes for Brant. So is the life of a Mom I suppose.

Hope you all have had a wonderful weekend...and here's to a safe and fun Halloween!

::School Time::

Here is a picture from Brant at school. We are having a great week. Good days, good dinners, and Brant seems to be doing well with his new antibiotic which makes for good nights!

Hope all is well with you. We are headed to Macon this weekend for Hadyn's 3rd birthday at Kangaroo Bob's...its a jumpy inside playground for those of you who don't know what that is! Brant is going to love it. He is growing up all too fast you guys...if you haven't seen him lately you need to!

Love you!

::Pics from Family Friday::

I know this is just a couple of pictures, and I will post and write more later but I wanted you to at least know we are alive! We had a great day at the Dr, Zoo, Varsity, and IKEA! It was a huge day and we are so thankful that we were able to spend it together! We don't get to do this often! Also, before I sign off here, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LALA! I hope your surprise was great!
